Technical Writer_

A large-scale Engineering, Repair, and Logistics company that services the country’s largest wireless telecommunications providers is looking for a Technical Writer for a 3-month project.Technical writer’s duties are as follows:• Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation• Study product samples and talk with product designers and developers• Work with technical staff to make products easier to use and thus need fewer instructions• Organize and write supporting documents for products, services, production• Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, video, and charts that increase users’ understanding including interactive technologies of the Web to blend text, graphics, multidimensional images, sound, and video.• Select appropriate medium for message or audience, such as manuals or online videos• Standardize content across platforms and media• Gather usability feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers• Revise documents as necessary• Create operating instructions, how-to manuals, assembly instructions, flow-charts and “frequently asked questions” pages to help technical support staff, production, and other users within a company or an industry.• Conduct research on their topics through personal observation, Internet research, and discussions with technical specialists.Required Experience:+ Technical writing in engineering computer environment+ Experience and familiarity with forward and reverse logistics+ Documents, presentations, manuals, video, flow charts+ Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, or communications.+ Knowledge in a specialized field, such as engineering, computer science,About TEKsystems:We're partners in transformation.
