The Bilingual Media Producer is responsible for producing video, audio, and photo-based multimedia content for Cultivate Learning’s resource development and communication outreach initiatives. This person will produce media that reflects current early learning and expanded learning opportunities research, effective practices, and community-focused state and national initiatives to boost access to quality workforce training materials. The Bilingual Media Producer will join a mid-sized creative team of staff who specialize in producing professional learning resources for a diverse range of audiences. The Bilingual Media Producer requires thorough attention to detail, thoughtful evaluation of appropriate uses of visual representations and should have advanced technical skills in video editing and cinematography. Additionally, this unique position is seeking a media professional that has proven proficiency in either Spanish or Somali language. The ideal candidate will have a digital portfolio or reel of work that highlights their Spanish or Somali language understanding and multimedia talents. Digital Work Samples and/or Digital Portfolio Link required. This position reports to the Manager of Media Production.**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**The duties of the Media Producer will include, but are not limited to the following:+ Film, record, and edit original video, photo, and audio content for courses, learning modules, professional development trainings, communication campaigns, and other multimedia resources developed by Cultivate Learning.+ Exercise advanced video editing techniques with skill and creativity, while also meeting technical requirements.+ Record, produce, and edit media content in multilingual platforms (special emphasis on Spanish or Somali)+ Revise video drafts through to final delivery.+ Process raw media to asset library.+ Follow production schedules from planning to completion, working closely with Media Liaison, content experts, and other production management team members.+ Co-develop scripts for videos and voice over recordings including bilingual (Spanish or Somali, when necessary)+ Schedule and facilitate audio recording sessions for narrated voice-overs including bilingual (Spanish or Somali, when necessary)+ Lead productions and work with non-actors on camera (in video and photography settings) with special emphasis on supporting Spanish or Somali language recording.+ Follow media production protocols regarding media permissions and waivers.+ Implement and apply accessibility standards for videos (work with captions and transcripts)+ Convey creative ideas clearly in multiple forms of communication, i.e., verbal, written, visual, one-on-one or group.+ Organize projects and workloads to meet deliverables in a fast-paced deadline driven working environment.+ Other duties as assigned. **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**+ Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of proven relevant photo and video experience such as cinematography, video post-production, documentary style photography, and/or motion graphics/animation creation **Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.** **ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**+ Proficiency in Spanish or Somali language.+ Lead multilingual video review production and post-production with Spanish or Somali content teams.+ Strong photography, cinematography, and audio production skills+ Initiative, imagination, and a solid understanding of storytelling principles.+ Demonstrated commitment to Cultivate Learning’s core values of equity, inclusion, diversity, service, quality, and innovation.+ Proficiency with Mac-based production tools including but not limited to: Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Audacity, and Annotation Edit.+ Experience with online music libraries, selecting, editing, and mixing music with narration.+ Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to pivot in new directions based on the changing needs of the organization, the team, and the communities we work with.+ Ability to work effectively as an individual, collaborate as a member of a team, and represent the multimedia work with partners and stakeholders.+ Must be willing to travel locally and nationally.+ Must be flexible and able to work some evenings and weekends.+ Valid drivers license (or ability to gain one before employment). **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**+ Experience filming or photographing children and teachers in early learning centers, pre-schools, or similar environments.+ Generate post-production motion graphics and other multimedia elements that support overall video visual treatment.+ Experience creating multimedia-based educational materials.+ Experience working in virtual training or virtual conference platforms.+ Preference to those residing (or soon to reside) in the greater Seattle area. **Application Process:** The application process may include completion of a variety of online assessments to obtain additional information that will be used in the evaluation process.
