If you’re a self-starter who likes to manage the full publicity process, including writing press releases, pitching to local, regional, and national media outlets, and looking for PR opportunities, this is the role for you. The position also includes managing social media accounts, including but not limited to content strategy and creation, copywriting, promotions, and analytics. Reporting to the Principals, you are a forward-thinking, enthusiastic self-starter with the creativity and proven expertise to drive meaningful results through strategic approaches, creative pitches, and outside-the-box ideas. You love to develop comprehensive PR strategies across platforms to maximize visibility for a portfolio of creative clients. The ideal candidate will possess a creative yet analytical mindset, ensuring content strategies are engaging and results-driven. Ideal candidates will have 4+ years of experience in public relations, a proven track record of successful pitch strategies, and strong examples of written content. Passion for interior design and architecture is a major plus!What Your Job Will EntailWrite press releases and pitches, as well as press materials, bios, fact sheets, editorial content, and media alertsCultivate strong media and client relationshipsDevelop strategic media lists based on client goalsCreate, foster, and leverage media and influencer relationships to produce placements for our clients and increase exposure across platforms and channels (design media and influencers a plus)Understand editorial calendars and pitching timelinesIdentify relevant opportunities for clients and schedule pitches accordinglyStrong knowledge of industry events and trade shows (design industry knowledge a plus)Align PR efforts with social media launches with content management and creation including copywriting, reels, hashtags, and monitoring community engagementFrequent placement research and media trackingResearch award opportunities and manage submissions from start to finishManage client relationships and expectationsManage project workflows, timelines, budgets, and resource management, ensuring strategies, deliverables, and timelines are metManage social media content calendars and translate all incoming opportunities from clients to a meaningful social strategyMonitor daily community management and engagement across platformsImage management and copywriting for social postsTest, track, and evaluate results of digital marketing initiatives to ensure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, lead conversions, events, etc; determine ROI of initiatives then prioritize resources for continuous program improvementProvide analysis of industry best practices and advise on modifications accordinglyStay abreast of the latest developments on social media platforms and guide the team on the best utilization of these platformsPaxson Fay is a fast-paced environment and the ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects, and manage against deadlines is essentialPosition is hybrid, our office is based in Seattle, WA - WA residence preferredFull-time, pay DOEHealthcare Retirement savings program with company matchUnlimited time offFlexible schedule with hybrid in-office program 2 days/weekBonus pay opportunitiesParental leaveProfessional development assistance and mentorshipRequirements:

Skills and Experience You’ll Need For This Role:Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications, or a related field 4+ years experience at a communications, marketing, or PR agencyEstablished relationships with media (architecture and design media a plus)Proven ability to lead projects to successAdvanced writing, spelling, and grammar skills (editorial background a plus)Strong understanding of social media platforms and experience managing social media channels for clients (B2B experience a plus)Exemplary time management, organizational skills, and attention to detailExcellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to interact successfully with diverse individuals at all levels and build effective partnershipsManage multiple projects and timelines with stakeholders in a smooth and efficient mannerStrategic agility and big-idea thinking, combined with a willingness to dive in as needed to get the job doneExcellent project management skills and familiarity with programs such as Basecamp, Google Workspace, Google Analytics, and DropboxWorking knowledge of Cision, Meltwater, Muckrack, Photoshop, and Indesign
