Job SummaryThe Director of Sales & Marketing oversees all sales & marketing operations and team members for the Hilton Garden Inn Dallas/Duncanville, Texas, which includes the banquet/catering sales team. The Director of Sales & Marketing reports directly to the OCI Corporate Sales Team and is responsible for ensuring labor and quality standards are upheld, assisting with establishing a positive work environment, developing strong relationships and networks, and administering policies and procedures established by the company and the hotel brands.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreates and maintains positive and professional staff and client relationships.Motivates and encourages sales/catering team to ensure goals are met.Reviews and analyzes sales/catering and operational records and reports and uses the data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.Maintains current knowledge related to competition and market conditions and effectively applies strategies to increase business.Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales/catering operations.Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

QualificationsCollege degree or the equivalent in related work experience.Previous experience with outside/catering sales.Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships.Ability to handle stressful situations with poise and professionalism.Conduct work-related functions in a professional manner.
