These include:+ Participation and attendance in all IB Madison led public and private events+ Regular participation in other community and business centric events+ Forge and maintain cordial and professional relationships with local business leaders. These include public and privately held companies, non-profit organizations, government, and higher education institutions, as well as local chamber of commerce organizations.Specific Responsibilities:+ Develop short- and long-term direction and creative strategies for all editorial products, which promotes significant audience engagement, and growth across all platforms.+ Assign stories, photographs, photo captions and graphics — for print and digital assets — and edit this material for news value, accuracy, clarity and timeliness.+ Overall responsibility for daily e-newsletter publication.+ Check and/or review editorial material for libel, taste, style, accuracy, fairness and reader interest.+ Ensure that the Editorial staff are providing consistent and timely updates to the IB-Madison digital site, and associated social media accounts.+ Monitor regional and statewide business, government, and community news and associated issues relevant to our current and desired audience base.+ Assist with hiring, evaluating and training new employee owners across other departments.+ Manage editorial department budget. Monitor and report budget projections and variances.+ Maintain and process necessary records.+ Coordinate planning and production of editorial content, ensuring that standards of quality, editorial direction, and style are met for all products.+ Coach, train, and evaluate performance of editorial employee owners.+ Suggests and initiates programs and procedures to enhance products, efficiency and morale.+ Adheres to company and departmental policies.+ Adheres to standard practices and ethical standards of the industry.+ Positive representative of department, company and industry at all times.+ Attends and participates in corporate initiatives such as Great Game of Business, ESOP meetings, safety training, etc.+ Provides quality customer service via phone, email, and face-to-face interaction to both internal and external customers.+ Communicates information to the appropriate individuals and/or departments in a timely manner, such as news tips, source suggestions or real or potential customer-relations issues.+ In addition to editorial staff, Works in collaboration with all departments and staff.+ Other job-related duties as assigned.QualificationsBehavior:Commitment to quality and service.
