Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.We are seeking a seasoned User Experience (UX) Director who will be responsible for a large portfolio of work across multiple lines of business and for leading a team of experienced UX professionals. The team is responsible for designing innovative, best-in-class solutions across mobile, web and desktop platforms. We are a multi-disciplinary group of product designers, content strategists and researchers that collaborate with business and technology partners to build exceptional digital experiences for millions of clients.UX Directors are advocates for the clients who use our products as well as the members of their teams. They are driven by data to deliver business outcomes and are committed to leading the creation of elegantly designed simple user experiences from otherwise complex workflows.In this role, you’ll take the time to understand the discovery and delivery side of UX, but also the business aspects of the digital products and solutions we create.**Responsibilities:**+ Lead and inspire design teams to create innovative products.+ Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to gain support for design strategies.+ Lead the development of innovative design solutions to user, product, and business problems.+ Contribute to a holistic design process, design system, or design language across teams or products.+ Own improvements in design based on digital analytics, user research testing and stakeholder input and provide guidance and expertise to effectively engage stakeholders on product design to achieve product goals.+ Own project priorities, including finding and aligning resources effectively to help with the design project work.**What you have****Required:**+ 12+ years of UX Design experience creating digital products and solutions across web and mobile channels.+ 10+ years of people leader/management experience in User Experience and Design+ Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated industry experience.+ 3+ years of work experience working with executive leaders.+ Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.+ Strong ability to balance innovative design-thinking and discovery practices with pragmatic, rapid and iterative delivery.+ Ability to create a safe and engaging environment to get the most out of the team and have fun along the way.**Preferred:**+ Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.+ 7+ years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.+ Expert knowledge of agile methodologies.+ Ability to lead the integration of new business lines seamlessly into pre-existing platforms+ Ability to understand new audiences needs and how to adapt the client experience for new segments.**What’s in it for you**At Schwab, we’re committed to empowering our employees’ personal and professional success.
