Position Summary:


We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to join our Learning & Development team. This role will be pivotal in designing and developing high-quality eLearning modules, enhancing technical training delivery, and creating comprehensive training programs for both technical and non-technical skills. The ideal candidate will regularly collaborate with subject matter experts from all business units of the organization and will be instrumental in a newly formed strategic initiative to improve quality metrics through targeted training interventions.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Design and develop engaging eLearning modules using Articulate and other eLearning authoring tools.
  • Create training content, incorporating multimedia elements to enhance learning experiences.
  • Develop quizzes and interactive elements to ensure understanding and retention.
  • Work closely with internal SMEs to identify training needs and create relevant content.
  • Conduct train-the-trainer sessions to enhance SMEs' ability to develop and deliver technical training effectively.
  • Develop both technical and non-technical (soft skills) workshops and training programs.
  • Leverage existing source content and create new materials to address identified training needs.
  • Ensure all training materials adhere to adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with HSE and Quality professionals to address and mitigate historical and current safety and quality issues through targeted training solutions.
  • Upload and manage eLearning modules on the companys Learning Management System (LMS).





Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in Instructional Design, Education, Training and Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design and eLearning development.
  • Experience working with Articulate and other eLearning authoring tools.
  • Proven experience in developing technical and non-technical training programs.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical subject matter experts and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in creating multimedia content, including video editing and graphic design.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the heavy civil construction or engineering industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and related learning technologies preferred.
  • Certification in instructional design or related areas preferred.
