Add BlackSenior Textile Artist | August 2024Add Black is looking for a Senior level Textile Artist to join the Women's Swim Design team, specifically focusing on Young Contemporary and Modern Missy artwork.Position Summary //We are currently in search of a creative and fashion focused Textile Artist that will be responsible for helping with the design development of print & artwork files for our Young Contemporary and Modern Missy private label brands.The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience as a textile artist and at least 3 years in a senior level roll.Responsibilities & Duties //Research/Shop Trends for color, print and pattern for each season.Design in Illustrator/Photoshop all prints, fabric patterns, placement printsGood understanding of print application and executionaUnderstand Print and Color direction as it applies to swimwearHelp manage the development of print & artwork files to be sent out to the appropriate mills for multiple brands each season.Collaborate with Art Director to set print road map for each season.Work with Design Director to review and comment on strike offs when they arrive.Apply technical skills as needed relative to scaling, color separation, placing artwork on pattern pieces, creating artwork repeats, and cleaning artwork files in the Indexed file format to prepare to be sent out to the appropriate mills.Develop original artwork for prints and build into repeatCreate indexed repeats from purchased artwork and vintage garments to create original designs.Collaborate with design team to create and prepare seasonal presentations for clients.Contribute to the organization end efficiency of design teamMeet design deadlines, as requiredQualifications //Illustrator and Photoshop CC proficiency is a mustMust work well in team environment5 years of experience as a textile artist/3 Years as a Senior level ArtistBachelor's degree in graphic design or textile design a plusStrong knowledge of materials and production techniques in relation to swimwearA strong eye for color and designAbility to work well under tight design deadlinesTo Apply //Please submit the following required materials for consideration:ResumeWork Samples / Portfolio Links
