Monday - Friday, during business hours for 8-15 hours per week during the school year with the opportunity for additional hours during the summer and school breaks.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in marketing and communications while contributing to groundbreaking work in the regenerative medicine and life sciences fields? WiCell is seeking a marketing and communications intern. This position offers flexible schedules, an opportunity to gain great work experience and the ability to network and collaborate with WiCell staff. If you're a creative thinker with strong organizational skills and passionate about science, this role will give you the chance to grow and refine your skills across a range of diverse possible projects including print and digital media design and production, updating our website, crafting social media content, and monitoring and reporting on key marketing metrics.

We are looking to hire a Marketing and Communications Intern to start immediately, work through the academic year and if desired/available, work through summer and beyond. We expect this intern to work approximately 8-15 hours per week during the school year with the opportunity for additional hours during the summer and school breaks. WiCell does have parking and/or will supply a bus pass if needed.

WiCell is located at 504 S. Rosa Road in Research Park on the west side of Madison.

Minimum starting hourly pay is $15 per hour.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will be working towards an associate or bachelor's degree. Candidates pursuing a degree in a life sciences program with an interest in marketing or communication, or candidates pursuing a degree in design, marketing, or communication programs with a specific interest in science are encouraged to apply. Candidates need to possess strong attention to detail, organizational and critical thinking ability, excellent communication skills, confidentiality, and be able to multitask. Prior experience creating content with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) or similar is strongly preferred. The position may require lifting boxes weighing up to 30 pounds.
