Onondaga is a diverse educational learning community committed to creating and maintaining an atmosphere where individuality is recognized and encouraged.Job Description:The Broadcast Media Communications program invites applications from talented, enthusiastic professionals to work with the program's teaching faculty in all areas of classroom/production laboratory instruction including equipment preparation, operation, and supervision of student use of equipment during classroom/production lab sessions and on location video production assignments.Responsibilities:Support faculty by assisting with group and individual instruction of students in various areas of production both inside and outside of the classroom.Oversee and assist students as they work on various video field production/location assignments.Oversee and assist students in tv studio/control room classes. Assist in the production of multi-camera programs.Preparation of instructional materials (handouts and videos) used in and out of class.Preparation of media content used in student productions and projects (graphics, video and audio material).Preparation of facilities for classes (both studio and field production).Assist with live and/or recorded BMC/college productions.Perform other duties as assigned by the program coordinator, department chairperson, and/or dean.Requirements:Experience in single camera video field production including location lighting and sound recording.Experience in multi-camera production process and equipment operation (video switcher, audio, graphics, video server, etc).Proficient in all aspects of audio and video editing.Minimum Qualifications:Plus 2 years of professional experience with a single or multi-camera production (e.g., news, commercial, promotional, short and long form programs).ORAssociates degree in Broadcast Communications, Audio/Video Media production plus 4 years of professional experience with a single or multi-camera production (e.g., news, commercial, promotional, short and long form programs).Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in an educational setting.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Audition, Premiere, Media Encoder, Photoshop, etc.).Bilingual in English and Spanish (English and another language will be considered).Additional Information:This is a CSEA Grade 7, Step A position (full-time, non-tested).Salary rate: $47,114.Application Instructions:To be considered, please submit a resume and cover letter at the time of application.
