The Role

Waterworks is searching for a Senior Product Designer with a keen understanding of interior design and/or architecture. This important role within our Product Group will interpret the Waterworks design vision across our broad portfolio of high-end products, primarily engaging with our CEO/Chief Creative Officer and working closely with the Waterworks Product and Engineering teams. The right candidate will be versatile across design aesthetics, have an eye for scale and proportion as well as an understanding of recent and historical design references. Hand sketching through 3D model and rendering will be essential skills to bring the product vision to life.

Primary Responsibilities

Conceptualize and set design requirements based on briefs from Chief Creative Officer and product team leaders

Provide hand sketches for preliminary ideas

Evolve design using 3D modeling software to design products and create 3D renders

Work with engineering team to ensure design feasibility

Research materials and techniques with home/interior design reference

Update the design of existing products as requested

Other special projects as assigned

Required Skills

About You

BFA in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or relevant field

10-15+ years of work experience as an Industrial Designer with a relevant role in Interior Design or Architecture

Portfolio that reflects a range of work in luxury market, both in products and different design applications

Ability to hand sketch preliminary designs

Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) tools

Skill with 3D modeling and rendering software – Solidworks a plus

Time-management skills, ability to meet deadlines

Adaptable, flexible, and must possess excellent communications skills (verbal & written)

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of Product Group

Experience with 3D printing a plus
