OverviewTo assess, design, develop and implement effective training and development programs for MDI that support our business plan and growth.

Responsibilities

Works with internal departments independently to conduct needs analysis of gaps in work processes and methods or other business needs, and designs training solutions and tools that close the gap.

Creates training and development solutions to support MDI programs and departments, from assessment to pilot to post-implementation data analysis.

Creates compelling, concise course content and engaging learning activities that enhance knowledge and retention.

Works with stakeholders and subject matter experts to define business processes and learning objectives; recommends and develops the most effective learning path to achieve those objectives.

Leads projects with tenacity to ensure quality and successful completion within the agreed-upon time frame.

Conducts instructor-led, participant-centered training sessions, enabling participants to apply the skills and knowledge in their day-to-day work.

Coordinates and conducts Train the Trainer workshops.

Acts as a resource for warehouse trainers and subject matter experts in the development and delivery of training to ensure quality and consistency in programs and performance.

Builds and maintains job aids and other resource materials.

Maintains the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure functionality and adherence to standards of use.

Plans, organizes, and facilitates employee development and training events.

Identifies, recommends, and works with outside vendors and other sources to create and maintain programs.

Works with our software providers to ensure applications are up to date and effective.

Ensures company culture and brand values are part of training and learning initiatives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the knowledge and experience gained by a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or similar majors, including Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Psychology, Education, or equivalent experience.

Effective business writing skills; excellent communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to apply principles of adult learning and instructional design approaches (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).

Demonstrated project management skills; ability to multi-task and continually prioritize changing project tasks/deliverables.

1 - 2 years of retail management experience or similar leadership role preferred.

Demonstrated competence in using PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office programs.

Experience with Articulate authoring software preferred.

Team player with a willingness to take on new challenges and strive for excellence.
