Non-ExemptJob Summary/Basic Function:

The WSU Online Instructional Designer (temporary) is responsible for assisting faculty members in all aspects of online education, including instructional design and working with technology.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Education, or related field (or within two semesters of graduation)Professional experience consulting with subject matter experts (for example faculty or business clients).Proficient with the use of HTML editing tools, Microsoft Office applications (or equivalent), multimedia authoring tools, and learning (or course) management systems.Preferred Qualifications:Masters Degree in Education, Instructional Technology, or related fieldExcellent working knowledge of adult learning theory.Demonstrated ability to apply learning and instructional theory in practical settings.Working familiarity with online learning tools, the Internet, electronic communications, and e-authoring tools.Excellent oral and written communications skills.Proven ability to creatively solve problems.Experience leading course design projects in a collaborative environment.Familiarity and experience with the complexities of teaching and learning in a higher-education environment.Background Check:

The annual salary for this position starts at $50,000 and may go up from there depending on candidate qualifications.
