: AVP of AdmissionGENERAL DESCRIPTIONUnder the direction of the Assistant Vice President and Vice President of Admissions, the Associate Director of Admissions Marketing & Communications is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans and projects to achieve admission and enrollment objectives with key target audiences. Embedded in the Admission Office, the Associate Director oversees resources responsible for producing integrated communications, printed collateral, and digital media that support recruitment and enrollment efforts. This includes the development of effective strategies and tactics to drive awareness and action across multiple constituent groups that include domestic and international students at every stage of the enrollment process; parents; school counselors; community groups; transfer partners and others. The Associate Director is responsible for executing, tracking, and reporting on these plans with an expectation of continuous assessment to improve overall results and conversions.Through collaboration with Pitzer College offices, the Associate Director would also support efforts by the college in financial aid, new student enrollment, graduation and commencement, the college’s website and social media, and other Enrollment Management areas and activities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSIn collaboration with senior admissions staff and utilizing the Slate CRM, direct all campaigns and streams of communication for prospective students, including segmented communication for various demographics such as high school students (sophomore, junior, senior), international students, prospective transfer students, parents, counselors, and recently admitted students.Lead the creation of new collateral, including Road Pieces, info sheets, admit packets, letters, signage, banners, etc., ensuring they align with Pitzer College branding guidelines and effectively communicate key messages to target audiences.Oversee web communication efforts, including the Admission and Financial Aid sites, and support the College with general admission/enrollment marketing activities to enhance online presence and engagement.Manage video and media production projects in collaboration with internal and external constituents, ensuring high-quality content that resonates with target audiences and supports enrollment objectives.Direct social media efforts for new enrollment and provide support to the College with general enrollment initiatives, engaging with prospective students, and fostering a vibrant online community.Support Admission-related events and communication initiatives targeted at prospective students, ensuring alignment with overall enrollment goals and objectives.In collaboration with the AVP, manage and cultivate relationships with Admission vendors (e.g., College Board, Edvisorly, Encoura, Niche) as it relates to messaging and communication, coordinating efforts to enhance recruitment strategies and leverage external resources effectively.In collaboration with Admissions senior leadership, Admissions Operations staff, and the Office of Institutional Research help to create, respond, and manage college communications around rankings and external communications with vendors (Princeton Review, College Vine, Niche, College Board, Petersons, SCC, NACAC, WACAC, AICCU), and reporters from publications and newspapers.Implement concurrent, interdependent short-, medium-, and long-term marketing and communications projects that support and achieve Enrollment Management goals, serving as the primary administrator of Enrollment Management communications and marketing strategy.In collaboration with the Financial Aid office, create new collateral and communications, ensuring they align with Pitzer College branding guidelines, to effectively communicate the financial aid process to prospective first year, transfer, and international students, parents, counselors, and recently admitted students.Produce, edit, and approve traditional and digital communications and marketing products that support Enrollment Management activities, including video productions, event promotions, communications, and awareness/engagement campaigns.Review, manage, and approve content across traditional and digital channels, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timeliness while upholding the university's image, tone, style, narrative, visual identity, and brand.Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and proven ability to interpret analytics and data to build or adapt marketing strategies. The Associate Director will be responsible for utilizing metrics to inform decision making and identify new marketing research strategies to guide marketing actions. Part of the evaluation process will include regular auditing of existing activities to ensure messages are on-strategy and programs are being run for optimum effectiveness.Direct a team of admission and creative professionals, providing supervision, training, and coaching to maximize creativity, productivity, and effectiveness, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget by adopting best-practice project management methodologies, quality assurance metrics, and risk mitigation plans, managing and reconciling marketing and communications budgets along with the AVP.Collaborate with university leaders to develop and improve recruitment and retention strategies, incorporating enrollment objectives into broader communications and marketing activities.Coordinate and collaborate with university marketing and communications professionals to integrate enrollment objectives into various channels, presentations, reports, and social media efforts.Pursue thought leadership on enrollment communications topics by staying informed about emerging trends, developing professional contacts, attending professional development engagements, and delivering presentations to inform and inspire.Serve as a senior communications leader and perception management professional for Admission and Enrollment, representing the college professionally and enhancing its reputation.Perform other relevant duties as assigned or requested, contributing to the overall success of the Enrollment Management team and the college.Some recruitment responsibilities and travel will also be required.Basic Qualification

:Experience working in marketing and communications roles supporting recruitment, enrollment management, and/or admissions activities.Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably expertise in Slate or other Admission-related CRM platforms.Proficiency with the Adobe Creative suite.Understanding of the admission landscape, including emerging trends, and established professional contacts.Ability to coordinate and collaborate with other offices on Admission or Enrollment efforts.Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a demonstrated understanding of the needs and experiences of underrepresented student populations.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; degrees in marketing, communication, PR, or a related field are preferred.Preferred Qualification

:Experience specifically in marketing to prospective students as a target audience.Proficiency in the Slate CRM system.Strong leadership skills with a track record of effectively managing and motivating teams.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on creativity and attention to detail in messaging.Experience utilizing data analytics and insights to inform decision-making and drive results.Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders across departments and organizational levels.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and navigate complex organizational dynamics within the higher education sector.Master's degree in marketing, communication, or related field is preferred.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESThe individual must possess knowledge, skills, and ability to be able to successfully perform the essential functions of the position or be able to explain or demonstrate how the essential functions will be performed, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.Ability to manage a complex communication plan and admission record keeping function.Ability to remain knowledgeable about best practices for an admission office and marketing for prospective students.Strong technical, operation, process, protocol, and management skills.Functional knowledge of online reading procedures and operations including scanning, imaging, and indexing.Ability to work both independently and in a team.Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathering and analyzing relevant information skillfully.
