Primary Purpose:
* Evaluate, intervene, consult, and deliver services as required by the school districts, community agencies, and HCDE.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university* Board certification by the Certification Board for Music Therapists
Special Knowledge/Skills:
* Effective/efficient oral and written communication* Reliable transportation to/from work and between work-sites* Efficient mobility within the work-site* Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills* Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines* Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records* General knowledge of computer systems and software applications* Ability to serve as professional student supervisor
Experience:
* Experience in pediatrics and/or the school setting desirable
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
* Use evidence in practice, evaluation, data collection, documentation and recommendations.* Evaluate to determine educational need for services.* Provide intervention to support student participation and performance in accordance with state laws and/or professional standards.* Document and maintain service-related records.* Participate in professional growth activities.* Perform other duties as assigned.
