newspaper.Ensures that Opinions Section is two pages of content per issue.Oversees

Editorial Board and the overall production of the weekly staff editorial.Writes one column story per week.Attends weekly section meeting with the Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editor-in-Chief.Attends general staff meeting.Meets weekly with section writers.Maintains weekly-posted office hours in

The Xavierite

office (6 hours per week).Ensures that factual information is included in opinion pieces and that the section serves as an open forum for the community of Saint Xavier University.Ensures that all “Letters to the Editor” include: Name (first and last), email address, year of the student, and permission to publish from the writer.Is a leading member of the Student Media Street Team.Requirements:
