Recruitment began on August 21, 2024Expires November 15, 2024Support the creation and implementation of the communications calendar.Attend campus and community programs and events to build awareness for offerings.Develop campaigns, design concepts, graphics, flyers, posters, postcards, and other collateral to support marketing efforts.Assist in implementing marketing strategies to support department goals and initiatives.Take and edit photographs and video content for various communication channels.Write copy for marketing collateral.Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission and objectives of the KMCWR division.Complete assigned projects in a timely and effective manner.Perform other needed and related duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent writing skills and storytelling ability.Able to work both individually and as part of a team.Provide excellent customer service for all KMCWR participants and customers.Experience with digital design and editing tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Constant Contact, etc. and social media platforms.Required QualificationsAmerican Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED Certification, or willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification.Standard office environment. Unexpected interruptions occur often, and stress level is moderate to high. Noise level is quiet to moderate.This employee may be customer-facing. Evening and weekend hours may be required for this position to support special events or community promotional opportunities.Physical ActivitiesAbility to sit in front of a computer for an extended period.Occasionally required to move about the office/campus with the capability of transporting objects up to 20 lbs.Part-time, hours will vary.This position requires federal work-study, which requires eligibility through the Financial Aid Office.Students will be paid $18.29/hr, with the opportunity for yearly increases, dependent on performance.In compliance with Colorado’s Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), non-benefited employees accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.Equal Employment Opportunity Statement & Notice of Background CheckThe University of Denver is an equal opportunity employer.
