Brand Management- Facilitates the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive brand management system for Central Washington University.- Partners with the Executive Director of Marketing and Branding on the development, execution, maintenance, and continuous learning and improvement of the university-wide comprehensive integrated marketing plan.- With a learner mindset reinforced throughout the Creative Team and across the department, assesses project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.- Leads the effective execution of a project management structure within the Creative Team, in support of department- and division-wide quality assurance processes. Project management execution will include:facilitating the definition of project scope, goals, stakeholders and deliverables;defining project tasks and resource requirements;developing project plans, schedules, budgets, and assemble and coordinate project staff;providing direction and support to project team;assuring work is appropriately reviewed internally before presentation to client and delivery to printer, placement agency, etc.;routing and receiving proofs and samples;monitoring and assuring timely project progress reports to all stakeholders;implementing and managing project changes and interventions to achieve project objectives.- Assists in the development and monitoring of vendor contracts.- Ensures resource availability and allocation.- Oversees the university's licensing process.

Personnel/Supervision- Demonstrates an equity-minded leadership style that contributes to a richly diverse and inclusive team environment with a warm and welcoming organizational climate in support of the university's vision, mission, and values.- Supervises the Creative Team composed of graphic designers and digital media specialists (photography, videography).- Fosters collaboration and positive conflict resolution among team members.- Collaborates with University Relations administrators to optimize division performance, prioritize projects and set timelines.- Actively engages in recruitment and hiring new employees.- Clearly defines performance expectations, ensures accountability, and provides ongoing informal feedback, coaching, and mentoring. Conducts formal performance evaluations.- Ensures employees have necessary resources.- Oversees and directs the work of staff; serves as mentor, coach and leader, and resolves complaints or issues.- Promotes professional development opportunities.- Develops and fosters supportive working relationships, motivation, and engagement.- Communicates information to staff on an ongoing basis to influence staff engagement and to be a part of a larger community.- Takes corrective action in a timely manner.- Recognizes and rewards employees for good performance.- Schedules employee work hours/shifts; monitors hours worked; approves payable time and absence requests.- Adjusts leadership style as needed to achieve results.- Recognizes value of and promotes diverse workforce. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in art/design, multimedia/video/photo, or related field.Experience meeting deadlines for projects that incorporate graphic, text, and other content.Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.Extraordinary client relationship and management skills.Evidence of effective personnel management.Excellent time and communication management skills.A keen eye for dynamic and brand-consistent graphic design, video, and photo assets.Highly organized with a keen eye for details.Understanding of production processes on many platforms.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Energetic, motivated, and resourceful.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in art/design, multimedia/video/photo, or related field.Familiarity with project management beyond development of marketing and promotional materials: video production, events, implementation of software, etc.Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.Mid-level graphic design, layout, and typography skills.Understanding of university services and departments, the roles and motivations/needs of the staff in those departments, and how teams must work together to develop the best solutions for our clients.Familiarity with project management software.Ability to incorporate multicultural perspectives and issues into everyday conversations.Life experiences that demonstrate an ability to contribute to CWU's commitment to inclusion and diversity.Accountability/Dependability:

: This position has a minimum annual salary of $59,068 and maximum annual salary of $85,648. The Hiring Department's expected hiring range is $59,068 - $72,358. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the hiring range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.Working Conditions

: Work is performed in an indoor office setting with frequent in-person interactions. It is essential to be able to remain at a desk/computer workstation for prolonged periods of time, perform extensive data entry and other computer-related tasks and create/maintain filing systems for departmental records. Some evening or weekend work and/or occasional travel will be required.Benefits
