PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:The work is sedentary work which requires the person in this position to occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Manages the box office operations to meet established annual revenue goals by applying business development and sales experience to ticket sales; works to increase both single ticket sales and group sales as well as increase community awareness of the OCCC VPAC facility; plans, orders, monitors, distributes, and accounts for all ticket sales; modifies, maintains, and updates subscriber/season ticket and potential subscriber databases; negotiates box office agreements with outside promoters; prepares contracts for authorized signatures; provides leadership in the development and communication of new ticketing policies, as needed, and maintains documents of all box office policies; manages day-to-day operations of ticketing and subscription sales and other patron transactions; oversees ticket inventory; up-sells appropriate packages, services, and events; generates accurate daily financial reports and seating records; builds and maintains performances and patron accounts on ticketing systems; manages special ticketing needs as well as discounts and promotions; ensures the fulfillment of house seats, complimentary tickets, and trade requests; and maintains ticketing processes to maximize efficiency and ensure accounting compliance and accountability.Works with venue staff to manage the setup and sales of all tickets and subscriptions at all concerts and events, including will-call ticket pick up, and resolution of any or ticketing issues; develops positive and personal relationship with Cultural Programs constituents; works with outside promoters from box office contract to settlement; trains and schedules box office staff; and supervises student workers.

Collects and maintains patron data and lists for effective communication and relationship development; provides customer service by phone, in person, and in fulfilling online sales; uses customer service skills, diplomacy, and good judgment to resolve any escalated customer service issues such as counterfeit tickets, refund, reprints, etc.

Produces sales and box office settlement reports as requested; works with Director and Finance staff to develop and ensure accurate accounting procedures for ticket sales and box office activities; oversees box office cash handling procedures; generates box office settlements and reports; administers and controls cash flow from door sales, phone, web, and mail order sales; ensures compliance with system controls and cash handling procedures; provides financial data for grant final reports; and collects and analyzes box office data.

Interfaces with the Marketing and Public Relations Department; develops and implements strategies to market all Cultural Programs produced events to maximize ticket sales and ensure timely generation, distribution, and publishing of marketing assets; writes and proofs marketing copy for press releases, articles, etc.; coordinates all press inquiries; and produces marketing materials for digital, print, tv, radio and direct mail.

Promotes OCCC ticketed events to the patron database and through the College website, social media portals, community event calendars, and event websites; monitors marketing workflows to ensure the delivery of scheduled marketing initiatives.

Provides helpful information, including suggestions for events, parking options, driving directions, restaurant recommendations, and access for all patrons, and any other patron services; sells and coordinates program ad sales and event sponsorships to sponsor all Cultural Programs produced events; coordinates efforts with the OCCC Development Office to prevent overlap of sponsorships or duplication of work; and performs other duties as assigned.Job Duties (Safety / Policy & Procedures):
