Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Product Designer for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The opportunity will be ten months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary: We are seeking a Product Designer with an interest in helping us envision new ways to connect businesses with customers as they interact with the Edge browser, client Start, client's Bing, and other surfaces. This role is for someone with strong design abilities, typographic skills, digital expertise, and acute attention to detail. You are a highly motivated, self-directed team player who works well under pressure and can thrive in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment. You will work with a team of designers as you work together to create experiences that are engaging, relevant, harmonious, and brand-worthy.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Utilize your strong interaction and visual design skills to create amazing products and elevate design.Plan and implement strategies that ensure our design work drives customer value and helps us meet our business goals.Document final designs in a point-of-reference/specification, adjust design systems, and work directly with marketing to produce consumer-facing experiences.Find areas where we can improve our processes, products, or culture, and lead or influence the changes necessary to do that.

Qualifications:

Portfolio for a review with design lead.5-7 years of direct experience designing user interfaces for web, software, and/or hardware products is required.Ability to read and synthesize product specifications and generate related design specifications/design briefs. When product specifications are not present or incomplete, have the ability to help derive and document these missing specifications.Create clean and effective graphic templates, presentations, process flows, information architecture diagrams, documentation, sketches, wireframes, and other artifacts required to develop and evolve user experience designsAbility to discuss and present an in-depth knowledge of standard design principles: color, typography, layout, brand.Must have the ability to understand technology issues and communicate information effectively.Excellent communication and project management skills required.Ability to work under constant deadline constraints.Strong knowledge of web technologies (i.e. HTML and CSS) is preferred.Fluency with standard design software tools (ex. Figma, Adobe CS) required.Fluency with basic animation (within Figma) required; skills or experience with more advanced animation (e.g. After Effects) is preferred.Bachelor's degree in Design, Graphic Design, or related program. A combination of education and experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.Years of Experience Required: 5-7 years of direct experience designing user interfaces for web, software, and/or hardware products is required.Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree in Design, Graphic Design, or related program. A combination of education and experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would have experience with Figma, motion experience, 3D skills, a strong portfolioPerformance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines, quality of work, and feedback from the team.Minimum 3-4 years of motion experience.Minimum 2-3 years with FigmaPreferred expertise in 3D skills
