Kahler Slater is seeking an Environmental Graphic Designer with 3+ years of experience to join our Environmental Branding Team. This position will work to elevate a physical space to tell our client’s story, history, vision, and brand. Research to integrate clients’ stories into built environmentsSupport senior designers to work in all phases of the project from concept through fabrication and installationSupport firm project teams with environmental and brand designCollaborate with Interior Designers and Architects to connect a project’s design intent with technical requirementsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities of an Environmental Graphic Designer:
Degree in Interior Design, Graphic Design, or Architecture with a passion for Graphic Design and Visual CommunicationSelf-motivated with a passion for graphic design and the translation of branding into built environments3+ years of prior experience in environmental graphic designDemonstrated understanding of architecture and interior designStrong communication skills, spoken, written, and graphicDemonstrated ability to work in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator with CAD toolsAbility to work in other 3D modeling programs including Revit and SketchUp preferredDemonstrated experience in documenting design, and architectural and fabrication processesEvidence of successful team-orientation and collaboration behaviorsEffective time management with multiple deadlinesMaintains a positive, professional attitudeWorking Relationships and Scope of an Environmental Graphic Designer:
Reports to Team LeaderWork in a collaborative studio environment – mix of virtual and in personRepresents the firm in alignment with Kahler Slater’s core valuesInteracts with external clients and partnersWorking Conditions of an Environmental Graphic Designer: Work is performed in a professional, collaborative, creative, open office environment. Great flexibility in your schedule is both required of you and returned to you due to our many project deadlines.
