Position:Rubenstein Public Relations is seeking a freelance Director of Media Relations. Entrepreneurial spirit, superior writing skills and a desire to help companies develop communications marketing strategies are essential.
Responsibilities:
Provide media relations counsel to account team members and clients
Strategize and execute media relations portion of programs
Ability to interpret client needs into actionable, achievable media programs
Strong knowledge of traditional as well as “out of the box” marketing tactics
Be creative and strategic in the development of programs designed to garner media attention
Continue to build relationships with journalists and press contacts on behalf of the agency, not necessarily tied to specific campaigns
Liaising with account teams and clients to provide project updates in a timely manner
Qualifications:
6+ years of PR agency experience
Strong media contacts and excellent writing skills
Proven ability to create media plans from concept and follow through to placement
Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
Proven ability to deliver exceptional communications programs and delivering on set targets
Work location:New York, NY or Remote
Job Types:Part-time, Contract
Pay:$70.00 - $100.00 per hour
Expected hours:10 – 20 per week
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
