JOB SUMMARY:The Creative Graphic Designer plays a pivotal role in advancing branding, marketing, and communication goals for the organization. Responsibilities include designing marketing collateral, event promotions, and content for various platforms. The role also entails attending events to coordinate and deliver graphic design services and other support as necessary.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Developing creative and innovative graphic design services in alignment with organizational goals.Researching graphic design trends within the Native Hawaiian community and beyond.Providing auxiliary support for videography, photography, editing, and social media content.Participating in community events to better understand the community's needs.Collaborating with colleagues on various projects and tasks.Assisting in event planning, execution, and closure.Completing assigned projects and tasks.PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
Demonstrate professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic.Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.Function autonomously with high initiative and motivation.Thrive in a fast-paced environment with schedule flexibility.Provide solutions to challenges and obstacles.Maintain a collaborative attitude and flexibility.Possess strong project management skills.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Visual Art, Creative Media, or equivalent.2 additional years of professional graphic design experience.Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud Programs (including Photoshop and InDesign).Experience in print and digital asset development.SKILLS REQUIRED:
Excellent written and verbal communication.Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.Integrity and commitment to the organization's mission.Proficiency in color theory and design principles.Strong conceptualization and ideation abilities.Understanding of printing techniques and materials.Look no further!
