Position SummaryThe Special Events Communications Coordinator primarily reports to the Director of Operations for the Office of Special Events. Primary duties are assisting with the organization, coordination, and planning of communications for Advancement events.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Supports communication efforts in development, preparation, and coordination of event communications for advancement, including but not limited to preparing guest briefings for briefing packets, writing and editing program biographies, and editing staff protocols. Manages a library of advancement guest briefings and biographies.Uses in-house and external resources to develop broadcast email (e-blast) communications using Advancement preferred email software (Marketing Cloud). Creates and manages event templates for use across department, and act as resource for creation and distribution of broadcast email. Manages and distributes invitation lists used for emails, including unsubscribe notifications and ARCH updates.Provides assistance to the Directors, Associate and Assistant Directors of Special Events with various event planning related activities, including but not limited to creating save the dates and invitations and assisting with talking points as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.Working Conditions:Job Location/Working Conditions

Salary Range$23.37 - $36.19 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
