BODYARMOR is looking for a Director, Shopper Marketing (Marketing Activation) to join our team.

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven leader to join our marketing team as our Shopper Marketing Director. This individual will be responsible for the strategy, development, and execution shopper marketing strategies that drive sales and enhance the customer experience at retailers in the Grocery channel. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of consumer behavior and retail environments, with the ability to lead and develop a high-performing shopper marketing team. As a member of our Senior Leadership team, this role will report into the VP Marketing Activation and is a critical part of the core customer team, while working cross functionally with Sales, Brand Marketing, Category Insights, etc. to accelerate topline growth, share growth, and customer penetration. The ideal candidate is both creative and data-driven and can think big and execute effectively to achieve business objectives. Additionally, a knack for motivating cross-functional teams to rally around strategies and plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the development shopper marketing strategy and execution for Grocery channel, identifying the core shopper insights, setting objectives, facilitate a seamless execution of in-store programs and digital activation plans at various retailers.

Oversee the development and execution of Marketing omni-channel plans to deliver on specific business objectives, while meeting or exceeding KPIs across the shopper journey.

Create and develop shopper marketing strategies across core external customer retailers for our focus brands and hero SKUS that to drive significant growth to achieve overall departmental plans.

Key Sr. Leadership partner responsible for aligning with Sr. Management and other functional teams to ensure the marketing plans, aligns with the business priorities and goals, including partnering with Coca-Cola extended team to ensure BASN is leveraging all available Coke insights, tools and resources.

Develop and lead a highly detailed calendarized marketing plan that outlines clear objectives, KPIs, strategies, and programs by trimester complete with tactical details and detailed budget line items, ensuring adherence by the business.

Directly manage and maintain departmental budget ensuring real-time transactional reporting, optimizations, invoice processing, monthly reconciliations/reviews are aligned and documented appropriately for distribution to leadership.

Directly manage external partner relationships (retailer media) and act as subject matter expert on all complex negotiations for national and regional campaigns from briefing to execution, providing a detailed post-program analysis to Sr. Leadership.

Be the subject matter expert within the company on grocery channel and retailers, shopper segments, insights, trends, competitive landscape, and brand sales/marketing performance. This includes but is not limited to coaching & educating relevant teams on retailer marketing policies, IP usage, style guides, media capabilities & guardrails, marketing strategy, and ensuring all BODYARMOR entities follow said policies.

REQUIREMENTS:

BA/BS degree required

8+ Years experience in Shopper Marketing required

Location based within the Cincinnati, OH area or NYC metro area required

Reliable, self-starter, hard-working, proactive team player with can-do attitude

Demonstrated capacity for big picture, strategic thinking, creative thinking and attention to detail

Knowledge of shopper loyalty data, Nielsen scan and panel data and insights, Microsoft software

25% travel required by car or plane
