The AD is the primary owner of the HCP messaging for the brand, and leads the development of core promotional messages, segment strategies, and sales force execution to drive brand growth. This individual is also responsible for the HCP promotional budget and all promotional programs that support personal and non-personal promotion of the brand messages to our HCP customers. The AD will work closely with the cross-functional team to develop, analyze, refine, and deploy the HCP promo strategy, including MABI, medical affairs, market access, training, finance, compliance, and many others.As a prominent member of the VRAYLAR Marketing Team, the AD is expected to bring significant experience in product management, sales force execution, customer analytics, and innovative problem-solving to the team. A track record of success in working with cross-functional teams is important to the role. The AD must demonstrate a strong competency in communication and quantitative analysis skills to generate the support for their strategic plans with the Integrated Brand Team and Sales Leadership Teams.Lead the development, analysis, refinement, and deployment of the VRAYLAR HCP promotional strategy.Develop HCP messaging by targeted customer segments leveraging market insights and clinical data.Manage a significant HCP promotional budget supporting personal and non-personal promotion to HCP customers.Work in close partnership with the sales teams to implement HCP promotional messages at POA meetings and throughout the year.Develop robust working relationships with key customers (both internal and external) through exceptional communication and partnership practices.Work collaboratively with HCP brand team and Integrated Brand Team across all approved indications for VRAYLAR.Drive the development of the annual strategic and tactical plans for BPI, working in concert with the consumer, market access, and medical affairs teams for presentation to the leadership.Collaborate and communicate with multiple agencies and external vendors to plan for, prioritize, and execute brand tactics within timelines and allocated budget.Gain approval for marketing materials through internal review processes to ensure marketing activities are in compliance with medical, regulatory and legal requirements.Define key performance metrics & assess brand performance.Maintain detailed understanding of disease and competitive marketplace.Develop and deliver presentations to key internal stakeholders (Psychiatry Integrated Brand Team, Neuroscience business unit, leadership team, sales teams) and external audiences.Bring innovative thinking and ideas to the table, challenging the status quo where appropriate to ensure brand and portfolio market leadership.Operate in compliance with all AbbVie internal policies (ethics, environmental health and safety, financial, human resources, and general business policies) and applicable external regulatory requirements.QualificationsAt least 7 years of pharmaceutical experience with strong analytical and strategic marketing skills is required.Previous experience in product management, specifically in the US market for HCP personal and non-personal promotion is strongly preferred.Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to make effective presentations to internal and external customers, sales teams, and senior management.Sound financial acumen with a foundational understanding of P&L drivers and previous experience with budget ownership is required.Ability to define, track, analyze key performance measures and make data-driven decisions.Strong interpersonal skills with ability to lead, interact with focus, and drive consensus among internal and external stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds, disciplines, and departments.Proven project management skills, tactical development, planning, and execution, and prioritization among competing business needs.Is a self-starter, intellectually curious, and can change course rapidly where required.Is open to suggestions and experimentation for improvement, embraces ideas from others, encourages innovation but is grounded in reality.Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and impact on development of marketing materials.Willingness to travel up to 25%, attending sales meetings, field visits, conferences, market research, meetings with key stakeholders.A potential pharmaceutical leader who is Excellence Focused; Optimistic; Open and Authentic.Additional InformationApplicable only to applicants applying to a position in any location with pay disclosure requirements under state or local law:The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position.
