Senior Designer/Drafter

to work with the Engineering team on CAD models, assemblies, and drawings for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (aUSVs/aUUVs, AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). This position will sit in our Quincy, MA facility.Job Responsibilities:Work in CAD tools with 3D models as parts, components, and/or assembliesManage data using PDM and follow processes related to configuration managementCreate and/or manage drawing templates and guidelines related to projectsImplement ANSI drawing standardsCreate/modify mechanical 2D drawings and 3D Models using CAD toolsKnowledge of manufacturability and product configuration methodsMay provide support to a project or own a component of a projectDemonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutionsInteracts with senior internal and external personnelNormally follows established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignmentsWorks with moderate guidance on projects with short-term focusCompensation Range:

$74,000-$90,600The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.Skills and Experience:Minimum candidate requirements:High school diploma or equivalent3+ years of relevant experienceExperience may include comprehensive knowledge of tools, software and other technologiesDesired candidate requirements:Associate's degree, technical/business school, or equivalent7+ years of relevant experienceExperience may include advanced support skills and extensive knowledge of tools, software and other technologiesDesired Experience:Experience with ASME Y14.5 GD&TExperience with tolerance stackup assessmentExperience in managing and tracking BOMs and drawing treesExperience with tracking weight and center of gravity techniquesExperience incorporating DFMA principals into designExperience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDMCitizenship Requirements:Must be a U.S. citizen.
