As a UX Designer at Granite, you will play a pivotal role in creating intuitive, user-centric applications that revolutionize our service delivery. You will develop a deep understanding of our user base and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design seamless and engaging user experiences that meet both business objectives and user needs. Duties and Responsibilities:
Curiosity and obsession with user experience
User research support
Assist in planning and conducting user research sessions, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing
Help analyze research data to derive actionable insights
Wireframing and Prototyping
Create wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes to illustrate design ideas
Prototypes will have options for several user flows
Assist in developing interactive prototypes using design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
Collaborate with senior designers to refine and iterate on designs
Visual Design Assistance
Support the design team in creating visual design elements, such as icons, graphics, and UI components
Ensure consistency with the Granite brand identity
User Interface Design
Assist in designing user interfaces for web and mobile applications
Participate in the review and critique of UI designs to ensure they meet user needs and business objectives
Help plan and conduct usability tests to evaluate the effectiveness of designs
Maintain detailed documentation of design processes, research findings, user flows, and design iterations
Write user stories, provide requirements to developers, document and test new features
Develop and implement effective change management strategies to increase customer adoption of the application, and within the organization
Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance activities to validate the application's performance, functionality, and user experience
Provide ongoing support and training to end-users, ensuring they understand how to utilize the application's features and functionalities effectively
Monitor and evaluate application performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to optimize the application's usability and performance
Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies. Attend workshops to enhance UX design skills
Develop interdepartmental relationships to facilitate better collaboration and drive customer results
Night/overnight work sometimes required
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Graphic Design, or a related field
Proven experience in Salesforce Lightning front end design and development.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and practices
Design portfolio of work samples that clearly demonstrate design and product development process
Experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks i.e sprint planning, execution, testing, deploying, monitoring, and enhancing
Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Product managers, developers, engineers, sales, and business stakeholders, to deliver technology products
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process gaps, analyze complex problems, and recommend effective solutions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results within established timelines
Self-motivated, goal oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
Proficient written technical communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years' experience working in UX Design, preferably in Tech
Experience with webapp and mobile design
Thorough knowledge of Figma, Jira (or equivalent), workflow editors i.e Figjam/Vizio/draw.io, Microsoft Office Suite
High level of proficiency in design tools and methodologies, including but not limited to Figma, wireframing, workflow diagramming, and prototyping
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex design concepts in a clear and persuasive manner
Experience in developing and maintaining UI component libraries
Knowledge of Software Development & Product development lifecycles
Knowledge of front-end/back-end development technologies
Previous experience doing QA/feature testing across multiple environments
Knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum LI-JH1
