Technical Designer - Adult and Kids apparel
Client Overview:A well-established apparel company specializing in adult and kids apparel for major US retailers such as JCPenney, Macys, Ross Stores and Walmart.
Position Overview: The teamis looking for a motivated, organized and experienced Technical Designer who can work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Technical DesignerResponsibilities:• Work closely with design and sourcing to create specs for development samples and costing for styles.• Maintain and Update Block Spec library• Create graded specs for orders and work with Designer to complete Tech Packs • Conduct fittings and evaluate garments from proto to pre-production• Communicate effectively with overseas makers through email, photo references, and video conference calls• Collaborate with Production Managers to ensure timely delivery of corrections to fit and pattern
Technical DesignerRequirements:• Ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience• Must have experience in all categories of tops, bottoms, knits & wovens for women's & men's• Must be able to use MS office & Excel for spec sheets• Must be proficient in using a Mac Desktop• Extensive knowledge in construction and sewing
