COMPENSATION
Salary Range: $81,780(min) - $116,074 (max) Grade F
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position manages the day-to-day activities of the SIRTOA Operational Technology (OT) Network and coordinates with various MTA-IT teams and external vendors such as Cisco and IBM to ensure inter-network data communications that are free from cyber-security threats. The incumbent will be responsible for task planning, resource allocation, inventory/material management, and manpower allocation as well as establishing plans and performing hands-on network management, troubleshooting, upgrades, and preventative maintenance activities to maintain a consistent rate of productivity. The incumbent will also be responsible for network monitoring, 24/7 network uptime, disaster recovery planning, managing projects, planning for future network expansion to accommodate SIRTOA's growing needs, and maintaining a high level of emphasis on employee and system safety.
This position will also partner and coordinate with MTA -IT on project plans for the development of technology solutions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•A baccalaureate degree in Computer Science, Computer Networking, or Computer Engineering.
•Certification in CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert)
•Six (6) years of progressive experience, of which three (3) years must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity. OR
•A satisfactory combination of education and experience.
DESIRED SKILLS
•Experienced working with Fiber Optic Data Communication Networks comprising of Cisco L2/L3 Switches, Routers, Firewall, Windows / Linux-based Servers/Workstations, and Network Video Recorders.
•Experienced working with Fujitsu SONET Network.
•Ability to create, maintain, and expand scalable Cisco Network according to the company's needs.
•Extensive experience with configuring, deploying, troubleshooting, managing, and maintaining Cisco Network Switches (e.g., IE5000, IE3400, Nexus 9300, Catalyst 9300, and Catalyst 9600).
•Expert in using Cisco IOS Command Line Interface (CLI).
•Experienced working with Network Traffic Analysis tools, such as Cisco Stealth Watch, identity-based Network Access Control, and Policy Enforcement systems such as Cisco ISE (/Identity Services Engine), and Cisco DNA Center
•Experienced installing a complete rack and patch panel wiring towards the installation of Network Switches and other appliances.
•Experienced monitoring and analyzing network performance, performing risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities, and implementing intrusion detection/prevention mechanisms.
•Experienced with applying network security updates as well as replacing hardware and software systems, when required.
•Creating and presenting networking reports.
•Ability to read, understand, and produce schematic diagrams, technical manuals, and documentation.
•Ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. of equipment such as Network Switches, Routers, Firewalls, etc.
•Availability to work overtime during the night and weekend, as needed.
•Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
•Responsible, reliable, and organized.
•Team player with good customer service skills

All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the SIRTOA payroll.
