Basic Function/Nature and Scope

The Senior Marketing Manager develops and executes strategic marketing and communication plans to enhance brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and support business growth. This role oversees a variety of marketing channels, manages external communications, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with company goals. The Senior Marketing Manager will also provide leadership to the marketing team and serve as a key liaison between the company and its stakeholders.The Senior Marketing Manager reports to the Director - Marketing and Communications and manages various projects from inception to completion, while also planning and executing our presence at industry tradeshows to maximize brand visibility and engagement.Essential Functions

Strategic Planning and Execution:

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that align with business goals. Create and oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, print, social media, and public relations. Monitor and analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to inform marketing strategies. Manage the marketing budget for assigned area or responsibility, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI. Lead and manage multiple projects within the organization, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.Brand Management and Positioning:

Lead efforts to strengthen and maintain the company's brand image, ensuring consistency across all communication platforms. Oversee the development of marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, presentations, and promotional content. Ensure brand messaging aligns with company values and resonates with target audiences.Communication and Public Relations:

Manage all external communications, ensuring clear and consistent messaging. Oversee media relations, including press releases, media inquiries, and public statements. Lead crisis communication efforts when necessary, ensuring prompt and effective responses.Team Leadership and Collaboration:

Lead and mentor the marketing and communications team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and customer service, to ensure alignment of marketing strategies. Partner with external vendors, agencies, and consultants to execute campaigns and projects.Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Track and measure the effectiveness of marketing and communication initiatives using KPIs and analytics tools. Provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting campaign performance, market insights, and recommendations for future strategies. Monitor project progress, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and adjust plans to ensure successful project completion. Identify and mitigate potential risks to projects, ensuring that issues are resolved promptly. Continuously improve marketing efforts based on data-driven insights and emerging trends.Tradeshow Management:

Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of MRIGlobal's participation in industry tradeshows and conferences, including booth design, logistics, and on-site management. Develop and manage the tradeshow calendar, ensuring strategic selection of events that align with company goals, business units and target markets. Work closely with the marketing team to create impactful messaging, promotional materials, and digital campaigns to drive booth traffic and engagement at tradeshows. Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure high-quality deliverables. Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts with vendors, and ensure cost-effective execution of all tradeshow activities. Coordinate pre-show and post-show marketing efforts, including email campaigns, social media outreach, and lead generation initiatives. Analyze tradeshow performance metrics and generate reports to assess ROI, providing recommendations for future improvements. Collaborate with sales teams to ensure seamless follow-up on leads generated from tradeshows.Supervisory/Management ResponsibilityManages External Communications Manager and Digital Marketing Manager as direct reports.Possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.Ability to develop a process and lead project status with cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Project Management, or a related field.5 years of experience in project management and tradeshow/event marketing, preferably within a commercial and/or healthcare industry.Proven experience managing complex projects with cross-functional teams with at least one year of managerial/supervisory experience.Strong understanding of marketing strategies, particularly in tradeshow marketing and lead generation.Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SharePoint, Asana, Trello) and marketing software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).Ability to work onsite or hybrid at our Kansas City, MO headquarters.U.S. Citizenship
