Any additional information you require for this job can be found in the below text Make sure to read thoroughly, then apply.RESPONSIBILITIES:Accurate reporting of news storiesAttend editorial meetings and regularly pitch original story ideasDevelops community contacts and a network of news sourcesMust be able to ad-lib live breaking news by telling a compelling storyWorks with photographer, producers, desk in the development of a storyRegularly updates newsroom on story elements and progressUses social media to update news stories to the publicAttend station partnerships in the communityAnchor weekend newscasts and specials produced by the stationRegularly write and proofread stories on assigned broadcastsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:B.A. or B.S. Degree preferably in journalism or communicationPrevious TV anchoring and reporting experience strongly preferredREQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:Must interact positively and productively with employees in the field and in studioUphold station values and models professionalism on and off the airStrong on-air presentation – must be credible, personable and engagingExcellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsStrong attention to detailMust be able to accept constructive direction and feedbackIn line with reporting duties, individual must be flexible with schedule and be willing to work additional hours or days or different shifts and holidays as required by news contentPositive, solution-oriented attitude and team playerCan perform duties and make decisions under extreme pressureStarting $45.70/hr commensurate with experience and skill level.#LI-Onsite
