Mid to Senior Level (Management)SENIOR DESIGNER - Young Contemporary Knits and Loungewear Our client, a well-established young contemporary knitwear brand, is searching for a Senior Designer for immediate hire. Must have a junior/girls aesthetic designing knits and loungewear. Develop and create vision for new product line assortments collaborating with the cross-functional team. Strong CAD and graphic design experience is a plus. Lead the team with design concepts and product assortments.Responsibilities:Manage the design and development for knits and loungewear.Manage placement strategy and follow-up by recommending product placement.Develop design strategies and execution for knit, loungewear, and graphics.Involved in all product development and sales meetings projecting future fabrications.Evaluate vendor mix and size of vendor base.Develop time and action calendars for programs.Prepare trend boards for management meetings.Daily communication with overseas suppliers on all production details and costing.Manage product integrity and order specifications compliance.Approve lab dips, new fabric developments, and the general flow of the process.Qualifications:5+ years of experience in apparel production and development.Knowledge and understanding of knit fabrics.Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop.Problem-solving abilities and meeting deadlines.
