Having contemporary sportswear and denim experience is a plus. Lead the team with design concepts and product assortments.Responsibilities:Manage the design and development process for sportswear and denim production.Develop time and action calendars for programs.Manage placement strategy and follow-up by recommending product placement.Involved in all product development and sales meetings projecting future fabrications.Evaluate vendor mix and size of vendor base.Source and negotiate best price and delivery.Review final costing file to ensure it meets or exceeds the budget.Daily communication with overseas suppliers on all production details and costing.Manage product integrity and order specifications compliance. Approve lab dips and the general flow of the process.Plan and execute a strategic sourcing plan to identify strategic partners.Knowledge of fabrications - denim and wovens.Qualifications:5+ years of experience in apparel production and development.Strong costing and negotiation skills.Knowledge and understanding of fabrics and washes.
