Job Summary:
Mason Interactive is seeking an entrepreneurial Director of Affiliate Marketing to create and lead our new affiliate marketing division. This role requires a strategic builder who can define and execute an affiliate marketing vision while building a team and client base from the ground up. You will develop and manage relationships with affiliate partners, oversee client engagement to secure affiliate agreements, and drive revenue through creative partnerships and optimized performance.
As the architect of Mason Interactive's affiliate program, you will need both strategic insight and hands-on skills. Your success in this role will lay the foundation for a scalable, high-impact affiliate marketing department.
Key Responsibilities:
Department Development: Establish Mason Interactive's affiliate marketing strategy, structure, and processes. Identify resource needs, recruit team members, and build a collaborative, results-focused affiliate marketing department. Client Engagement and Acquisition: Engage with potential and current clients to highlight the benefits of affiliate marketing, and secure their participation in our affiliate program. Lead presentations, develop proposals, and negotiate affiliate contracts that align with client and company goals. Affiliate Network Expansion: Identify and recruit high-potential affiliate partners and influencers to establish a strong, diverse network. Develop partner agreements, set up commission structures, and nurture relationships to maximize performance. Campaign Development and Execution: Design and manage affiliate campaigns end-to-end, from strategy and launch through performance analysis and optimization. Ensure that campaigns are aligned with Mason Interactive's brand standards and client objectives. Performance Tracking and Optimization: Implement tracking and reporting tools to monitor the effectiveness of affiliate campaigns. Analyze data and refine strategies based on performance insights, aiming for consistent growth in ROI. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with the digital, creative, and sales teams to ensure cohesive strategies across all channels. Facilitate regular communication to align affiliate activities with overall business and client marketing objectives. Budget Management and Payouts: Oversee budget allocation for affiliate programs, manage commission and payout processes, and ensure campaigns meet performance goals within allocated resources. Market Analysis and Innovation: Stay informed of industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies to position Mason Interactive as a leader in affiliate marketing. Recommend new tactics to enhance the affiliate program's reach and efficacy. Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; advanced certifications in digital or affiliate marketing are a plus. 7+ years of experience in affiliate marketing, with a proven track record of building and scaling successful affiliate programs. Entrepreneurial Drive: Demonstrated experience in building or significantly scaling a new marketing program or department from the ground up. Client Engagement Expertise: Proven ability to secure client buy-in, negotiate affiliate contracts, and deliver effective program pitches. Analytical Skills: Proficiency with affiliate tracking, data analysis, and performance metrics. Experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, CJ Affiliate). Digital Marketing Knowledge: Solid understanding of SEO, content marketing, social media, and other channels that influence affiliate success. Leadership and Team Building: Experience hiring, mentoring, and managing a team in a dynamic environment, with a focus on building a positive, results-oriented culture. Project Management: Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple client accounts, campaigns, and partnership initiatives. Preferred Skills:
