We are looking for a driven and client-focused Senior Design Manager to grow with our team in Los Angeles, CA.
As Senior Design Manager, you would be responsible for the day-to-day client management of global projects, subconsultant oversight, and required to be onsite at client offices as required. You would be actively involved with weekly client work sessions, responsible for communication between client, Jacobs PMO and Jacobs architecture / engineering.
You would possess strong understanding of architecture, interior architecture, and interior design process from predesign to construction administration for both architecture and FFE. You would be a "trusted advisor" role to the client.
We’ll Expect You To:
• Be based out of our Los Angeles, CA office upon hire.
• Provide oversight and guidance to client and teams on global portfolio program.
• Conducting and actively participating in weekly in-person client meetings.
• Monitors and assists with developing the clients interior architectural program standards, tracking, and communicating adjustment to multiple project team.
• Lead conceptual and sketch design sessions with client.
• Coordinates and integrates engineering elements into unified design for client understanding.
• Leads large-scale projects or multiple mid-size projects simultaneously.
• Shape, develop and champion client relationships.
• Champion design excellence through quality of deliverables
• Work closely with Design Leadership, Project Management, and Architecture and Engineering SME’s across the globe to advocate an inter-disciplinary design approach and philosophy; promote integrated design approach across firm.
• Interacts withall levels of management internally and with external personnel and client.
• Directed by the Design Director and/or Design Principal, work is performed under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives; has decision making authority on major issues, differing to a Design Director At Jacobs.

Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered for employment
• 9 - 12+ years of applicable professional experience including proven track record of leading the design process of multi scaled projects and client program standards
• Bachelors or higher-level degree from an accredited school of interior design or architecture
• Interior Design certification and LEED accreditation preferred
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skills
• Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines
• Strong planning and concept capabilities with the ability to mentor team members while offering guidance and leadership • Knowledge of pertinent building and accessibility codes
• Demonstrated experience in FF&E selection, specification, and documentation and ability to speak to and provide direction on FF&E to a client
• Working knowledge in Revit and AutoCAD
• Proficiency in Creative Adobe Suite applications desired but not required
• Self-starters with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Travel to client site weekly
• Some travel may be required
• Ability to be flexible with day and evening meetings
