Payroll Specialist Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage our bi-weekly payroll processing.
Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates or benefits.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax filings.
Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing clear and accurate information.
Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management, including summaries of payroll expenses and deductions.
Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure payroll data is accurate and up-to-date.
Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant.
Payroll Specialist Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience as a Payroll Specialist, preferably within the construction or related industry.
Strong knowledge of payroll processing systems and software (e.g., ADP, Paycom).
Thorough understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
