The International Mission Board, a nonprofit religious organization in Richmond, VA, is hiring for a Content & Curriculum Development Manager!

Location: Richmond, VA Headquarters

Rate: Commensurate with experience + great benefits

The Manager of Content and Curriculum is crucial to the shaping and development of training products, initiatives, and resources. This role ensures that our training programs meet outcomes and goals while aligning with the IMB's vision and mission. Additionally, this role is responsible for stewarding the theological and missiological integrity of training resources and publications to ensure they align with Foundations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage theological and missiological content and curricula development for a broad range of IMB Training initiatives and resources for SBC churches, missionaries, and partners.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with team members and shaping teams to create engaging and relevant content that supports learning outcomes and IMB vision, mission, and is aligned with Foundations.
  • Serve as a trainer, coach, and leader in adult learning, cross-cultural ministry, and theological and missiological training.
  • Consult with various stakeholders to define learning outcomes, design appropriate content/curriculum, deploy appropriate learning support, and deliver quality transformative training.
  • Demonstrate life-long learning by developing and deploying continuous learning opportunities in adult education, instructional design, and missiological education.
Requirements:
  • Master of Divinity or MRE, required
  • Southern Baptist Church member, required
  • At least 5 years of ministry experience
  • Previous experience writing curriculum for education or training purposes, required
  • Effective, clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to write well and communicate complicated concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills
  • High degree of technical aptitude
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret communication, write reports and correspondence
  • Experienced teacher, coach, and trainer
