The Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of corporate communications and events in partnership with the Senior Director, Corporate Communications and key stakeholders.

The Corporate Communications Manager will assist with developing and executing Floor & Decor's long-term internal and external communications strategy, which includes but is not limited to drafting and editing internal/external brand communications, creating and managing communications content, leading production and execution of corporate events, PO management, creating communications plans and campaigns, intranet design and maintenance, internal videos, general project and task management, and more.

Scope of Duties:

- Works cross-functionally to develop and manage executive communications strategies and events that create a shared understanding of company priorities and values to keep our associates connected and engaged.

- Partners with and strategically advises senior leadership on communication efforts that help achieve company objectives.

- Works in a fast-paced environment, exhibits creativity and passion while producing results that drive associate engagement and business performance.

- Develops and implements executive communication strategies for the organization to ensure that unified, consistent and positive messages define and promote the corporate identity and mission.

- Creates and executes innovative brand experiences for our associates, vendors and business partners that foster growth, retention and reflect our corporate goals and objectives.

- Day-to-day, you will partner with key business stakeholders to develop communication strategies that help influence our associates and grow our brand. You will advocate delivery of best-in-class event planning and management to ensure our teams' services are consistent across all projects.

Essential Functions
• Draft, review, and distribute corporate communications while helping create ongoing corporate communications strategies, both internally and externally
• Oversee approval and distribution of press releases and grand opening communications in collaboration with agency partners
• Serve as a point of contact for crisis communications issues
• Plan, edit and write executive content for a variety of communications mediums, such as quarterly emails, videos, infographics and events
• Regularly meet with key stakeholders to create and recommend communications plans and campaigns to effectively promote products or services
• Lead production and execution of corporate events in collaboration with agency partners, including but not limited to overall event strategy, end-to-end event planning and management, day-of event direction, as well as creative and communication strategies for events
• Manage company store ensuring appropriate inventory is upkept within appropriate spend
• Manage budget, ensuring efficient spend and timely payment of vendors
• Partner with agencies and vendors to build communication and events strategies and ensure consistent successful results
• Act as brand ambassador through upholding brand standards in all communications, events, and other associate or consumer-facing activations
• Manage a variety of in-person, virtual and hybrid events which include varying complexities for both internal and external audiences
• Strategically work with internal business partners to understand, facilitate and support department goals and objectives while proactively and effectively integrating events into business plans that help grow our business and achieve desired outcomes
• Develop and maintain business partner relationships by delivering the highest level of service with flawless execution and establishing appropriate communications strategies and project plans, ensuring clear communications of objectives, timelines, budget, project status, and expectations while providing updates on a regular basis
• Identify operational challenges and develop solution-based strategies and processes
• Oversight and management of event financials, reconciliation, and cost savings documentation. Measure key ROI indicators and associate feedback
• Craft executive communications messages (e.g., emails, talking points, Power Point presentations, etc.) proactively and reactively that translate business priorities or results and champion culture
• Manage proactively the executive response to urgent situations

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, Public Relations or related communications field
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in similar role(s)
• Powerful and effective communicator (verbal, visual and written)
• Must be proficient in AP Style
• Graphic design experience a plus
• Experience producing and running in-person and virtual events with large audiences
• Ability to build and nurture relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Must be solutions-oriented, a proven problem-solver and an active team player
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Canva
• Must be detail-oriented and organized
• Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work independently with little direction
• Up to 50% travel required
