TECHNICAL WRITER

Seeking a Technical Writer responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation, system guides, safety protocols, user manuals and operational procedures. The Writer will collaborate with engineers, product managers and stakeholders to ensure complex technical information is communicated clearly and efficiently to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities of the Writer includes:

  • Develop and maintain documentation: Create and revise technical documentation such as user manuals, safety guidelines, installation instructions, and process workflows.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts: Work closely with engineers, researchers, product managers, and operational teams to gather technical information and ensure accuracy in all documentation.
  • Simplify complex concepts: Translate highly technical content into clear, concise, and accessible materials for diverse audiences, ensuring understanding and compliance with industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance: Align all documentation with Air Liquide's safety protocols, regulatory standards, and quality assurance requirements.
  • Visual aids: Create and integrate visual elements such as diagrams, flowcharts, and images to enhance comprehension of complex technical instructions and processes.
  • Maintain version control: Regularly update documentation to reflect changes in technologies, systems, or regulations while managing version control and ensuring the availability of up-to-date materials.
  • Documentation audits: Perform regular audits of existing documentation to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness across all formats.
  • Coordinate with global teams: Collaborate with international teams to ensure documentation consistency across regions and languages where necessary.

Experience/Skills should include:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in an industrial, chemical, or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to simplify and document complex processes and technical content for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with version control systems, content management systems (CMS), and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements in the industry is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with industrial gasses, fiber technology, or manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a global organization with cross-functional and international teams.
