PR Manager, Cloud Security

The Sage Group’s client, a cybersecurity company, is in search of a PR Manager. The PR Manager, Cloud Security, is responsible for increasing brand awareness in the cloud security market, including building communications plans to support launches, campaigns and executive profiles as needed. This is a key role that requires both a sophisticated understanding of cloud security concepts and the dynamic nature of the cybersecurity industry itself, as well as the ability to translate company objectives into strategic communications goals and clever PR campaigns.

The PR Manager, Cloud Security, is specifically tasked with supporting the strategy for and managing the day-to-day operations of the PR campaign for the Cloud Security business. Responsibilities include establishing, measuring and reporting on KPIs, and building narratives critical to the company’s credibility. The PR Manager, Cloud Security, will work closely with the Global Director of PR and the Sr. PR Manager, North America, as well as PR Managers in the EMEA, LATAM and APJ and the social media team, to develop a cohesive, global strategy.

Your Opportunity:

Media Relations:

• Develop and execute PR plans related to Cloud Security, including strategy, goals and tactics.
• Provide strategic counsel to the global corporate communications team on how to successfully tell our story through trade and business media.
• Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media.
• Manage media inquiries and interview requests, including rapid response opportunities and broadcast interviews.
• Conduct ongoing spokesperson training as needed.
• Draft contributed articles for spokespeople in both top-tier business publications and trade publications.

Strategy and Analysis:

• Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting cloud security and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy.
• Establish strong rapport with leadership teams both in-region and at corporate to identify emerging trends and new story angles.

What You'll Need:

• 7+ years of proven working experience in public relations and communications in technology.
• 7+ years of experience working in-house or agency-side for B2B tech companies.
• Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns in LATAM.
• A nuanced understanding of the cloud security industry.
• Strong and trusted relationships with national business and industry media outlets.
• Skilled in broadcast and print media interviews.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and be part of a multi-functional Marketing group.
• Ability to meet competing deadlines and an aptitude for prioritizing tasks and projects.
• BA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline.

And Ideally:

• MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline.
• Experience working within a publicly-traded company’s Marketing department.

Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Compensation: $35/hour
