Program Eligibility:
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited two or four-year college/university in the United States, pursing an undergraduate, graduate and/or law degree
  • Graduating between Spring 2025 - Fall 2027
  • Have access to housing and transportation within the designated city (We do not offer housing accommodations)

A&R (CA, FL, NY, TN):

How You'll CREATE:
  • Scout and identify potential new talent through various sources (social media, industry networks, listening to demos etc.)
  • Provide administrative support in organizing and scheduling meetings, studio sessions, and artist showcases.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, emerging artists, and market data
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, publicity, and creative services, to coordinate artist releases and promotional activities.
  • Contribute to the creation of artist biographies, press releases, and other promotional materials for artists.
  • Draft meeting agendas, taking notes, and following up on action items from A&R meetings.

Artist development involved building audiences through in-person activations, whether on tour, at shows, events in market, or album release initiatives.

The International department supports UMG's catalog business outside the US, as well as outside other rep-owners home markets. It also runs uDiscover Music (www.udiscovermusic.com), UMG's consumer-facing music magazine and brand that focuses on catalog.
  • Support Track Moments and Resurgent marketing campaigns Internationally.
  • Assist with communication with local markets, providing local assets and information to support local activity.

Label Catalog (NY)

How You'll CREATE:

Responsible for product creation and marketing of new recordings by Verve catalog artists, physical reissues, and all other catalog initiatives within Verve Label Group.
  • Assist with the coordination of physical reissue series including Verve By Request, Acoustic Sounds and Verve Record Club.
  • Help curate and coordinate the delivery of new streaming-audio catalog releases, including themed albums and playlists.
  • Oversee a semester-long project focused on researching and populating a comprehensive database of key milestones, including artist and album anniversaries, birthdays, centennials and cultural moments
  • Assist with the social media calendars for key catalog artists including Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong in addition to generating catalog-specific content for Verve Records and Impulse Records socials.

Paid Media & Audience (CA)

How You'll CREATE:

This department focuses on paid activations in the digital space (advertising, influencer marketing, etc.) to promote releases, catalog, or build audiences.
  • Assist with advertising campaigns, learning the basics of a campaign from top to bottom from planning to execution to reporting. They will also learn the influencer marketing world and dive deep in the details of executing a campaign, sourcing influencers, and reporting on metrics.


They will be involved in 2 projects:
  • Understanding fan pages and how best to react to high performing content. What actionable steps to take on the amplification side to best reach an audience and help grow/promote a fan page
  • Creating our own playbook on sourcing influencers


Since followers are not the only metric which determine success of a post and content shown on the FYP, developing our own way to identify top performing influencers to action for campaigns. Analyzing metrics like average watch time, engagement rate, share rate, etc. will be important as we scope out and build one to one relationship with influencers. Alongside that, the intern will be tasked with direct reach out to form these relationships and understand rates, etc.

Pop/Rock Digital Marketing (CA)

How You'll CREATE:

As the Digital Marketing Intern your primary responsibility will be to work with and support the team members within the Digital Marketing Department (Project Coordinators, Digital Marketing Project Managers, Social/CRM Managers, and Department Heads) across projects and initiatives within catalogue and new releases.

The digital marketing department is across many aspects of artist marketing, including social media and content ideation/creation, digital promotions, artists website development and optimization, fan acquisition and engagement, creation/implementation of digital tools and products to increase fan engagement, paid media campaigns, and more.

Urban digital marketing team is responsible for driving digital strategy across IGA's roster of Hip Hop & RnB artists. The interns will be split across Digital marketing leads and creator marketing teams.

The viral team is an extension of digital marketing and works hand in hand with all digital leads. Our main purpose is to amplify viral moments and social narratives around all of our releases, identify trends and deciding what makes sense to action, build and run fan pages and stay on top of general viral trends in the marketplace.

Worship Together (TN)

How You'll CREATE:

Worship Together exists to serve worship leaders and creatives who serve the global church through compelling content, collaborative community, and cultural relevance in all aspects of Christian music and church ministry resources.
  • Content Development: Assist in creating and editing engaging content for our website, social media, and email campaigns. This may involve brainstorming ideas, drafting blog posts, and contributing to visual and video content.
  • Event Planning & Support: Play a role in planning and supporting events, from our worship conferences to songwriting camps. Tasks may include coordinating event logistics, communicating with artists, and helping with on-site needs to ensure events run smoothly.
  • Social Media Management: Help develop and schedule posts that resonate with worship leaders and creatives. Track engagement metrics and bring fresh ideas to enhance our online presence and connect with our community.
