Job Description : The New York Post provides readers with the best in News, Sports, Pop Culture and Entertainment – with signature wit, irreverence and authority averaging 90 million unique viewers a month. We are currently seeking a Video Studio Intern (24 hours per week) to join our video department. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for news and pop culture and can contribute to creating engaging, savvy, and informative digital-native video content. This is a hands-on opportunity to work in both studio and field production environments, gaining valuable experience in all aspects of video production. Note: This internship is scheduled to run from February 3, 2025, to April 11, 2025 (10 weeks). Participants are expected to work approximately 24 hours per week. Responsibilities: Assist in studio operations, including set creation, setup, and breakdown. Support field operations, including logistics, location agreements, and production needs. Operate a second camera during shoots. Assist with teleprompter operation during studio recordings. Provide general support during field shoots, including equipment handling and setup. Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth execution of video shoots. Assist with both field and office production tasks as needed. Requirements: Interest in working in online news environment; knowledge of current news and pop culture a plus! Working knowledge of Macs and Mac Operating Systems Knowledge of camera operations Ideally simple editing skills Must enjoy working collaboratively and accurately; attention to detail a must Note: This position must be able to report into our office located in Midtown Manhattan.
