The News-Gazette (Champaign-Urbana, Ill., AM, 38K Mon-Sat, 41K Sun) is seeking an enterprising business reporter to cover local business news and make national economic trends relevant to a local audience.

Responsibilities:

1. Cover local business news.
2. Make national economic trends relevant to a local audience.
3. Help on other beats as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Two or more years of business writing experience.
2. Experience in other media forms (e.g., Web, social media, video, podcasting, online chats) is preferred.

A 35-hour work week, including night hours and weekends. Wages commensurate with experience (our lowest rate is $17.30/hour).
