We are hiring a Marketing Manager in our Construction Marketing department.

Primary Job Objective

This position is responsible for providing support for marketing initiatives within the corporate marketing function; supporting both domestic and international business. The position requires in-depth expertise in understanding diverse product categories, market trends, and competitor landscapes. Responsibilities include developing targeted campaigns, analyzing market data, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring consistent brand positioning. Strong knowledge of industry trends and competitive analysis is essential to drive innovative marketing initiatives. The Marketing Manager will play a key role in enhancing brand awareness and ensuring the company's position within the competitive market.

Initiatives include, but are not limited to: development of reports and presentations, customer promotions, competitive information/database, new and updated packaging, management of trade shows, merchandising development, website and social media assistance and literature development. The position will be required to provide direct in-field sales support and represent the Division at industry trade shows as needed.

Fundamental Responsibilities:

Promotes project/program success by thorough communication and team-building. Serves as a liaison between sales/marketing, MARCOM staff and the laboratories. Builds trust and teamwork between internal personnel by understanding the needs and concerns of key departments as they interact with the marketing team. Provides clear written information to internal associates on project-related issues, and enhances new project success by serving as a liaison to external groups. Works with freelance programmers, developers and photographers as well as agencies (when appropriate) to accomplish tasks.

Ensures a consistent brand/corporate image by developing well-crafted written and spoken communications. Initiates and supports the production of presentations by reviewing information for errors and preparing visual aids, literature, tradeshow graphics, and other related materials.

Supports Franklin's image through trade show display management and coordination corporately. Work with external company and internal teams to design booth space meeting show needs. Reviews all marketing-related, product support material for brand accuracy and consistency. Attends shows, as needed.

Increases awareness of Franklin through existing and new products promotions. Works closely with sales team to support their field needs. Contact for freelance Public Relations through assisting in social media strategies and requirements.

Facilitates quality decision making by collecting relevant product data through electronic, written and spoken research. Understands domestic and international data trends for product positioning in turn strengthening market share.

Other Job Tasks

Source, builds and maintains external partnerships through team meetings and project sourcing. Evaluates and understands competitor's product positioning and tactics through in-store visits as needed. Utilizes internal programs for report and informational needs. Performs administrative tasks such as check requests, association dues, promo items, bill paying, etc.

Supervisory Responsibility

Potential to oversee the work of interns.

Knowledge and Skills

Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism or communications. 3-5 years of applicable experience in marketing. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good computer skills - Microsoft Office, PowerPoint are necessary.

Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks at once, be detail-oriented, flexible and possess creative problem solving skills. Excellent team player, energetic and quick to understand tasks at hand. Strong sense of self-motivation and an ability to adapt to the job at hand.

Working Conditions

Most frequently, the incumbent of this position performs his/her work in a standard office environment. May be exposed to occasional noise and temperature exposure at customer locations and/or industry trade shows. Occasional need to be in Franklin's manufacturing operations; when in such environments, appropriate eye, ear, head, foot and hand protection, as well as appropriate clothing, is required. Overnight or day travel may be required up to 10% of the time for seminars, trade shows, customer visits, etc. This may include travel on short notice and/or on weekends.
