The Company's lead product candidate, nemvaleukin alfa, is an investigational, engineered interleukin-2 (IL-2) cytokine designed to capture and expand the therapeutic benefits of high-dose recombinant human IL-2, while mitigating toxicities. As we prepare for the commercialization of this therapy, we are looking for an experienced and results-driven leader to join our commercial leadership team as the Vice President, Marketing.

Position Overview :

The Vice President, Marketing will lead the creation and execution of Mural's marketing strategy for nemvaleukin alfa. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Head of Commercial, the VP will be responsible for building a comprehensive marketing plan that drives market penetration and revenue growth. This highly visible role will require a strategic leader with deep experience in oncology marketing, product launches, and a proven track record of building high-performing teams that can consistently deliver in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Function Development:

Build the vision, structure, talent base, capabilities and operating model of the cross-functional marketing organization

• Strategic Leadership:

Serve as a key member of the Commercial Leadership Team, contributing to the development and execution of commercial, operational and launch plans that align with company goals.

• Develop Marketing Strategy : Lead the creation and execution of a clear and effective marketing strategy to maximize the market potential and revenue for nemvaleukin alfa, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.

• Digital and Tactical Marketing : Oversee the development of digital and tactical marketing initiatives, as well as programs for scientific conferences, to support the broader marketing strategy and drive customer engagement.

• Market Penetration and Growth : Develop and execute strategies for product positioning, messaging, market segmentation, and channel strategy to ensure optimal market penetration and revenue growth for nemvaleukin alfa.

• Customer Insights & Market Understanding : Utilize deep expertise in oncology healthcare, including providers, key opinion leaders, patients, and market access stakeholders, to inform the go-to-market approach and drive customer behavior change.

• Performance Metrics & Optimization : Establish the key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of the marketing strategy, and regularly analyze market data to adjust and optimize tactics and execution for maximum impact.

• Compliance & Regulations : Ensure all marketing activities adhere to company guidelines, local laws, and industry regulations, ensuring compliance at all stages of the launch and throughout the commercialization process.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate closely with other teams, including sales, market access, R&D, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, analytics, finance, and the broader commercial team, to ensure alignment and smooth execution of marketing plans.

• Leadership & Team Development : Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team, driving collaboration, accountability, and innovation across the organization. Provide strategic direction to ensure successful execution of marketing activities.

Qualifications :

•BS/BA degree in business, life sciences, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPH) preferred.

•Minimum of 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with at least 5-7 years in senior marketing leadership roles.

•Proven success in developing and executing marketing strategies, particularly for oncology products. Experience in biologics is highly preferred.

•Oncology launch experience is required, with a preference for experience in ovarian cancer and/or melanoma.

•Strong track record of leading hybrid teams and delivering results in a collaborative, fast-paced, high-growth environment. Ability to make difficult decisions with confidence and maintain a positive, compliant, and results-driven culture.

•Highly skilled in influencing and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders, scientific teams, and commercial teams.

•Ability to earn the trust and confidence of senior leadership, the commercial team, and other stakeholders across the organization.

•Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively present to both field teams and senior leadership, including the Board of Directors.
