Associate Professor of Choral Music
This is for a full-time position, teaching college-level Choral Music courses to a diverse student population. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Performing Arts, the successful candidate will lead and expand the vision for the college's choral music program, conduct various chorales and vocal ensembles, recruit and mentor adjunct faculty, recruit in local high schools, host regional music events and workshops, coordinate choral department activities, and teach assigned music and musical theater classes and individual voice lessons as needed.

- Creative program building in collaboration with other faculty and staff based on identified needs
Flexibility and problem-solving skills required. Besides traditional class structuring, the College is also attempting to meet the varying needs of our students by offering weekend, year-round, and compressed courses of instruction and services. Since service to our students is our highest priority, instructors can expect to participate in innovative methods and assignments that may be multi-campus and/or at clinical agency locations, with the possibility of interactive, online, day, evening, and/or weekend classes.

Minimum Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Music with an emphasis in choral conducting from a regionally accredited college or university
- Demonstrated ability to develop a vibrant and innovative choral music program
- Demonstrated success in recruiting, organizing, developing, and conducting various choral and vocal ensembles that have performed successfully and draw college and community audiences
- DMA in Choral Conducting
- Demonstrated successful college conducting and teaching experience of five years
- Coursework in musical theater and experience in musical theater productions
- Demonstrated activity in the field of choral conducting on regional and national levels
- Demonstrated performance ability to sing and evidence of professional performance experience
