High School Choral Music and Drama Teacher

Location: Smithfield Public Schools, Smithfield, Rhode Island

Description:

The High School Choral Music and Drama teacher will provide instruction for students in grades 9-12. Must be able to instruct Early Enrollment Program courses such as Audio Production and Music Theory classes. Other classes include Musical Theater, Chorus, and other music/drama classes. Attends local and regional adjudications of concerts and festivals.

Qualifications:

1. RID certification qualifying for high school music teacher position
2. Master's degree preferred

Reports To: School Administrator

Representation Status: NEA Contract

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience as a high school music teacher, drama, or theater teacher
2. Experience directing high school drama productions
3. Experience working with secondary students
4. Experience leading secondary choral performing groups
5. Experience teaching EEP classes

Date of Opening: 2023-2024 School Year

Salary: According to Prevailing Wage Rate as per Union Contract
