Spelman College is hiring: Entry-Level Producer in Atlanta

I am with Hot Snakes Media, a leading production company based in Connecticut specializing in unscripted content. We are currently working on a new podcast project and we are seeking talented individuals to join our team as entry-level producers.

We are reaching out to your department because we believe this opportunity could be particularly well-suited for recent graduates or current students in their final semester who are eager to begin their careers in media production. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about storytelling, have an interest in audio and video production, and possess a keen sense of creativity and organization.

The responsibilities of the position will include:

1. Assisting with content research and topic development.
2. Collaborating with hosts and senior producers to create engaging and informative podcast episodes.
3. Managing the recording/shooting schedule and logistics for interviews, both remote and in-studio.
4. Supporting the editing and post-production process, including basic audio editing tasks.
5. Coordinating with guests and contributors to ensure smooth episode production.
6. Contributing to brainstorming sessions and bringing fresh ideas to the table.
7. Helping with social media and promotional efforts to grow the podcast’s audience.

This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in all facets of production, from concept to final product, making it an excellent learning opportunity for individuals seeking to build a career in media production. We are looking for candidates who are detail-oriented, adaptable, and enthusiastic about learning the ins and outs of the production process.
