ABOUT THE ROLE The Social Media Associate, Home plays a pivotal role in driving engagement and expanding the online presence of our Home vertical. With a primary focus on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts, and beyond, this role requires a creative individual who can connect with home enthusiasts and bring Food52's home-related content to life. You will be tasked with curating and producing compelling content—from ideation to execution—while also maintaining an authentic, relatable presence. Your ability to strategically navigate social media trends and algorithms will be key in expanding our brand’s reach, while your creative skills will ensure that content stands out in a crowded digital landscape. You’ll be responsible for producing content that resonates with both current and prospective customers, managing cross-platform strategies, and engaging with our passionate community. A hands-on role, you’ll spend most of your time focused on Food52’s Home offerings but will contribute across other brands like Schoolhouse and Dansk as needed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Platform Expertise:
Stay at the forefront of social media trends, platform updates, and algorithm changes across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts, and others. Tailor content strategies for each platform to engage and inspire the home enthusiast audience. Content Creation:
Lead the creation of engaging content that reflects the Food52 home brand, from styling and shooting captivating images and videos to crafting compelling captions and editing finished materials. You’ll feel comfortable being in front of the camera and using creative storytelling to elevate content. Content Scheduling and Posting:
Maintain an up-to-date content calendar, ensuring posts are scheduled at optimal times for maximum visibility and engagement across all platforms. Manage regular posting to keep the brand top-of-mind for our community. Cross-Platform Management:
Design and implement platform-specific content strategies that effectively reach and engage the unique audiences across different social media channels. Adjust content formats to match the nuances and best practices of each platform. Analytics and Reporting:
Track the success of social media campaigns, content performance, and engagement metrics using analytics tools. Provide actionable insights to optimize future content and ensure alignment with Food52's brand goals. Community Engagement:
Foster meaningful connections with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and mentions. Actively cultivate a positive, engaged community that feels connected to the Food52 brand. Campaign Support:
Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to support larger marketing campaigns. Ensure social media strategies align with broader initiatives and help drive brand awareness and sales. Product Integration:

Manage and optimize paid social media efforts by whitelisting and boosting top-performing content. Oversee ad budgets and targeting to drive optimal results. Brand Partnership Execution:
Work closely with the brand partnership team to execute social media strategies for brand collaborations and sponsored content. Brand Representation:
Serve as an ambassador for the Food52 Home brand, ensuring all content aligns with our core values and speaks authentically to our home-loving community. Collaboration and Teamwork:
Partner with editorial, creative, and marketing teams to develop cohesive social media campaigns and brainstorm fresh, innovative content ideas. Event Content Coverage:
Represent Food52 at events, capturing on-the-ground content that supports brand initiatives and enriches the home community's experience across social platforms. QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years of experience managing social media for lifestyle, home, or e-commerce brands, with demonstrated success on TikTok, Pinterest, Instagram, and other platforms. Expertise in understanding the nuances of social platforms (particularly TikTok and Pinterest) and how to create content that maximizes reach and engagement. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects. Skilled in filming and capturing content using an iPhone and/or other cameras, with a natural eye for composition and aesthetics. Experience with video editing tools such as Capcut, Premiere, or others to create polished content. Proficiency in using tools like Dash Hudson, Buffer, and analytics platforms to track social media performance and growth. Solid experience with design and content creation software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Canva. A vibrant personality with an ability to connect with an audience both on-camera and through engaging voiceovers. A creative, trend-savvy mindset with the ability to quickly identify emerging trends, create content that capitalizes on virality, and analyze performance in real-time to boost engagement. Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities while maintaining a positive, collaborative spirit across teams. Previous experience working on brand partnerships and executing paid content campaigns is a plus. COMPENSATION The target pay range for this role is between $60,000 to $70,000. This is an exempt role. This role is eligible to participate in our annual bonus program.
